Alien: Romulus

“I guess I’d say it’s my third favorite next to the original two. I have my qualms with it but it did an incredible job capturing a feel a *lot* like the first one in many, many respects, and I also think it succeeded in doing some things where so many other installments of the franchise failed pretty miserably. The sound in the theater was absolutely incredible and terrifying - one problem for me though was that between the accents and the overpowering sound, I couldn’t catch all the dialogue. Still, I’m glad I didn’t miss seeing it with the theater’s sound system. Not getting all the dialogue wasn’t a fundamental problem, but my brain was working overtime much of the way through to evaluate what was probably said here and there, and what I should or should not wonder I didn’t catch that could’ve been important. All in all though, it was an experience - to me, it’ll never be as great as the first two, but they certainly didn’t skimp or phone it in by any means.”
